Hey Jim!

Hope you had a terrific holiday.  It was great to meet you in LA last month; just wanted to provide an update and send along the three tracks that you had indicted might be of interest to you, plus a few additional in each of those three general ballparks.  (Balls-park?)  Here's what you'll find on the playlist below:

  • 1. Trailers:

    • "Hour of Departure" was the neoclassical trailer you heard when I met with you in November.

    • I've provided two more trailer-style instrumentals for you to check out, which I could deliver alongside if they would be of use to you.

  • 2. Piano and Piano-Orchestral:

    • You heard a jazz trio tune when we met, "Where We Began."  I've also offered its pair, "Whisper Softly."

    • I threw in a ragtime piano track just in case you're interested; I only have one of these, but it was super fun to write and play, and would be up for more.

    • "Where the Air Was Warm" is an emotive solo piano track - if interested, I can provide as part of a set of 3-5 (or easily expand further...these are pretty fast).

    • "Pinnacle Hill" is sort of piano+orchestral inspirational underscore. If interested there's another that can go with this.  I've also done full piano+orchestra albums in the past, so this is comfortable territory and it could be expanded to a set if useful to you.

  • 3. Neo-Soul Project:

    • "Good to Go" (temp-titled) was the track that sparked your idea for a neo-soul/Jill Scott-style package, which has been really fun to work on.

    • I've signed a co-writer contract with an artist who will supply lyrics and vocals - she's just getting started.

    • I've got 3 additional tracks started.  There are rough mixes of the first 2 below, plus a partial demo of the 3rd, so you can let me know if we're on the right track.

    • Otherwise, I'll just keep you posted on the anticipated timeline for this as I (hopefully) secure this collaborator and start working with her.

Just let me know if you're interested in anything here, or if there's something else I can put on the schedule for you.  I'm always happy to hop on Zoom, speak on the phone, or trade ideas however you prefer.

Happy New Year!
